Count Down

Bonjours les amis de SILVESTER :)

Today is one of the last days in Decembre, one of the last days of the year 2008.  Time for a résumé!
This was a WEIRD year. Awesome but weird and and I really want to thank everyone who made it that cool.
Let's start... what did we have.

Oh ya, GRADUATION. After 13 years of pain and struggle we finally were able to say goodbye to school. Wow, I never thought that this day would come and right now, here in my living room it feels so far away - like a really pleasant memory of a time long ago :)
With the graduation there were Ami and Steve and Katie and Josh - thank you for sharing this event with us! It was amazing to have you here in Germany.
Of course there was our Abi-Ball - here a big thank you to the whole team around me for the support in organizing this event :) We did a great job!

Right before Graduation and the whole Abi-Stuff there was one on the best things I have ever experienced... BALMUN
I never had a project like that. A project with so many passionated and hard working people around. We made it happen, a wonderfull Model United Nations Conference. Thank you Tanja for being Conference Manager with me. It was the best idea and worth it to work our butts off!
Whole BALMUN team - that was amzing. Hope next year BALMUN 2009 will be amazing, too! Robert and Caro - I know you can do it, you have a great team!

Then I had to say goodbye to Kai. This is probalbly the only unpleasant thing. But that is the way it has to be I guess. You shall know: I miss you a lot. And I am happy that you are having a good time over there. We will make the best out of the situation and will be together again in July 2009! Looking forward to that! Besos! Ich liebe dich....

Ok, what else? Ah, America Part I.
Everyone who followed this Blog knows the story, everyone else, too. It was a great time living there. Even if it were only a few weeks. I learned A LOT about Chemistry, Industry, the American dream and culture everyone should get to know one day. I got a new family. Ami, Steve, Katie and Josh, thank you for sharing your live with me - I really felt like a part of your family! AND: I'll be back, I promise!

America Part II - I was back. Just for 3 weeks but I reaturned. I saw Kai and celebrated Thanksgiving. That was a really nice time. I never saw so much food in one place. Turky, matched potatoes, cookies, red cabbage, EVERYTHING. Everyone should have das one Thanksgiving in life.
Ah, don't forget: Franzi! You will be back soon and you had the great luck to stay for one year. Thanks fpr driving me around in your cool car, for making jewelleries with me, going to the bookstore and to the crappy car-festival! Both of us were two weird weirdows in Findlay Ohio :D

Well, what else: I started my University - luckily! I love studying Chemistry. I always wanted to do that - I always doubted that I could do it and finally I did. It is hard but cool. I try to give my very best - and it somehow works out. Now it is completely normal to go in and out... the building is cool the labs modern and nice.
And I found a couple of knew friends. Especially Silvy, Micha and André. I really like you, and without you University wouldn't be the same probably. :)

Finally: the K2 community :) Well guys, really want to thank you for enduring me! *gg* When I returned from America it was really cool to get to know all of you better :) You are really cool friends and I am glad to have you!

Well, that's it! A short review in picture and word. You may call it pathetic but that is the way it is! Again: Thank you to everyone - this was a GREAT year! Hope there is much more up to come.

HUGE HUGS TO EVERYONE - HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

- Annemarie
